The Pirbright Institute, UK and Cairo University, Egypt will jointly host a workshop, Food Security: Improving the Management and Prevention of Viral Diseases of Poultry and Livestock in the UK and Egypt ‘, which has been made possible by a grant from the British Council Researcher Links Programme.
This workshop aims are to build long-term and sustainable links between scientists in the UK and Egypt working on infectious livestock and poultry diseases. This workshop will encourage early career researchers from medical, veterinary, biological and social sciences to understand the ever-increasing threats to global food security from infectious animal diseases.
All participant costs such as travel, accommodation and workshop costs will be met by the sponsor.
Applications from UK to participate in the workshop should be submitted electronically by Friday 15 January 2016, 5pm GMT and from Egypt by Monday 30 November, 2015. Applications should consist of:
